The Meyer Award

Celebrating people who care about our community

In 1997, HOSA benefactors Bob and Virginia Meyer contributed significant funds to the Historic Ocean Springs Association, with the goal of establishing an annual award that would both encourage and recognize outstanding projects of renovation, restoration, and development in the historic areas of the community. The HOSA Bob & Virginia Meyer Award was born from this effort.

The HOSA Bob & Virginia Meyer Award is presented to a project(s) completed between September of the prior year and August of the year under consideration, and which best helps advance or improve the ambiance of the historic Ocean Springs area, and/or a project that best represents or depicts the charm and qualities of historic Ocean Springs. Projects considered may include storefronts, renovations, new construction, renovations, restorations, and significant landscape plantings.
